Sapiosexual

A term that is the last hope for lonely losers, overweight women, and pretentious tools of both genders to make themselves feel better by purportedly valuing "intelligence" over physical appearance. Frequently used in online dating profiles to give the appearance of depth and to, self-reverentially, designate oneself as very intelligent.

Sheila: I'm sapiosexual; I value a man's intellect over his looks.

Doug: Be real, Sheila, you're just saying that because your a blimp with a 5 o'clock shadow . If sapiosexualism were true, Stephen Hawking would be getting more ass than a toilet seat!

sapiosexuality

Where the Dunning-Kruger effect and the bedroom collide. An alleged sexual orientation for people whose assessment of their own intelligence is far in excess of that of any reasonably objective observer, with the added benefit of making one a soi-disant minority, presumably an oppressed one.

People who describe themselves as "sapiosexual" usually define "intelligent" as "sharing my biases" rather than, you know, "intelligent". Given the first paragraph, this invariably means they're attracted to people as arrogant as them, who they run off with and have a clutch of horrible, spoilt children with who grow up into horrible narcissistic adults.

Furthermore, all it means is they're attracted to people similar to them, making the term fairly tautological to begin with.

In practice, "sapiosexuality" is in fact dickosexuality.

saphosexual

An individual principally attracted to the soul, heart or mind, as opposed to the body. Most saphosexuals identify as pansexual (bisexual). Also an adjective. See also sapeosexual. Saphosexuality is sometimes confused for demisexuality.

If you want to catch his eye, you'll have to reveal more of yourself: he's saphosexual.
