One who glorifies themselves at the expense of those around them or associated with.

My co-worker is a “self optimizer” purposefully promoting prowess over others to the detriment of those he/she views a a threat in their immediate environment.

Optimized

A product or service that has been rendered completely useless, unmanageable, or irrelevant. In software, this is usually due to over-engineering or a lack of fundamental understanding of how to interpret analytics related to the typical use case. Most common in software and online services, but can be applied to other industries.

example 1: "YouTube has nearly been optimized to perfection."
example 2: "Kathleen Kennedy has optimized Star Wars cinematic storytelling."

See... The situation we find ourselves in now is akin to this ☝️

Iam "The optimal Spellbook/Dogmatika deck turn 1 board consists of the cards: Secret Village of Spellcasters, Jowgan the Spiritualist, and Dogmatika Punishment. As long as Secret Village of Spellcasters is on the field, only the owner of the card is allowed to use spell cards (so long as they possess a Spellcaster monster on the field). Jowgan the Spiritualist prevents special summoning. And Dogmatika punishment will destroy a face up monster. It creates a situation where your opponent has no choice but to use their 1 normal summon on a monster that will inevitably be destroyed by Dogmatika Punishment and/or set a monster. This board almost always guarantees a turn 3 and shuts down spell heavy decks or decks that rely heavily on link/synchro climbing or special summoning. Ideally you will Spellbook climb into Jowgan so summon it in defense position. It's a fun deck that results in only 1 player being able to play Yugioh."

When trying to improve everything actually makes life worse. The endless tweaking, tracking, and hacking that leaves you more stressed than before. Productivity apps, fitness gadgets, even parenting advice—sometimes “optimizing” just optimizes the anxiety.

I bought five different apps to manage my schedule, and now I don’t have time to do anything. Classic optimization trap.

Hypothetical Optimism

When someone tells you “things get better” but that isn’t really true. They say this because they have a hypothetical belief that you can have someone to help you get better.

1:Hey man, you have someone to talk to, trust me.
2:That’s hypothetical optimism because I have no one to talk to. I’m also lonely as fuck.
