A person and or an organization which finds significance and meaning in trivial things or matters of no importance.
A cultural example comes from the Cohen Brothers 1998 film, The Big Lebowski. The story's protagonist, Jeff Lebowski known as "The Dude", endures hardship and misadventure while pursuing the recovery of his stolen rug because, "It really tied the room together." Lebowki is an unrepentant denihilst.
