Fansplain

Being corrected by a fan about the source of their fandom. Like the term,"mansplain," but can be used with either gender as long as they proceed with a boring, officious correction of something you said.
Example: "Misty fansplained to Brock that his information about water-type Pokemon was wrong."

fauxplaining

When someone fakely complains about something to draw attention to the very thing being complained about; false whining in an attempt to obtain 'clout' from peers.
Girl: Ugh, I have so much AP Bio, AP Stat, AP English, and AP Chem work. I hate being in such smart classes.

Boy: Will you please stop fauxplaining.

Girl: Bruh I am so addicted to nicotine I hate it.

Boy: You're just fauxplaining so people know you vape.
