Social Fatigue

Social Fatigue occurs when a person is overwhelmed by being put into far too many social situations for their comfort, often resulting in boredom or annoyance of those around them.

Social Fatigue can result from over-use of social networking sites (Facebook, myspace) or various online forums where clashing opinions can wear out a persons tolerance faster.
Controversial topics such as Politics, religion, or worn out Meme's can further propel the spiral to Social Fatigue.

Social Fatigue also occurs in MMO's (Massivly Multiplayer Online games) where grouping and other social activities are required to make progress in the game.

At some point a sufferer of Social Fatigue just wants to be left alone, because they have reached the conclusion that most people are just plain stupid.
After a forum discussion on Zombies, Bacon...and the conclusion of zombie-bacon, Robert had Social Fatigue and didn't care if the world spiralled in to the sun tomorrow... so long as these people went with it.

Social Democracy

A Social Democracy is essentially Capitalism with strong social programs to protect the marginalized and disabled.

This is not the same thing as Socialism, or Democratic Socialism.
If you are a Social Democrat, then you support a Social Democracy.

social anxiety

horrible condition where a overwhelmingly fear occurs in social settings. Self consciousness and fear arise when situations like speaking in public and being the center of attention is present. The person automatically thinks that everyone is looking, judging, or humilating him or her. People with are a little weird but NOT FREAKS; Im a cool dude.

The horrible thing is that this condition is known by few, the cause is unknown, and sever symptoms such as a increasing heart rate, muscle twitches, sweating, and feeling warm.

People who dont know it will never understand it, and unfortunately I am one of the 13% of the population that have it and what makes it even more fucked up is that Im in school where it really fucks me up. Its fuckin sad and nothin to laugh or fuck around wit. People with this are loners too. On a good note, I dont have it severly where people stay in their home for years but people will never understand it.

social top

That friend who always organizes social gatherings - they pick the restaurant, get a headcount, pick a time, make reservations, etc. "Top" here is a reference to the dominant role during sex, especially in the gay community. A social top is dominant in a social context.
I'm glad you are back from vacation - without our social top, we just sat around at home and wondered what everyone was up to.

Social Media

Social Media is a generalization to many device software that connects users via the internet. In many instances these include posting, tagging, etc. As well as a connection between people, it doubles as a popularity scheme. Many people can achieve and/or obtain more fame and fortune via social media through awareness and recognition. As well as larger "idols" on these platforms, others in small communities and/or groups can also compare numbers and counts of popularity via "followers" that may change the perception of a certain person. Either putting them on a high pedestal or ruining their social life (leads to this in many cases due to irreverence and the lack of understanding of how to not be a narcissist). Apart from communication and popularity social media doesn't have much. Although to sharpen these two aspects of these software, you must spend long amounts or be sucked into spending long amounts of time on it. This is shown through newer generations, always caring about their self-image, correlating it with self-worth. Concluding this, Social Media and all that regarding of, is a pure waste of time, time that could be spent sharpening skills required more then being popular in life.
I spent 15 hours on Social Media and now I feel like garbage.

Social Media

Truly an awful place. Never before could you see how much of a stupid dopamine addicted attention whore the people you thought were cool are. All SNSs are awful in their own way but naturally the awful people their SNS is known for will argue with you about how the others are worse.
Twitter: A social media site where all the people you thought were reasonable can gather to share their stupidity and smear it onto your face.
Reddit: A social media site where all the people you thought were funny can gather to share their belief in how smart they are and smear it onto your face.
4chan: A social media site where all the people you thought were just weird can gather to share their smarts but more importantly, use them to be idiotic creeps.
Instagram: A social media app where all the people you thought were shallow airheads can gather to share they are, indeed, shallow airheads.
Google+:
Discord: A social media site where all the people you thought were cool can gather to share their desperation for social contact (see e-dater) and lack of good things, or anything at all, to do. Or just be pedophiles.
Tumblr: A social media site where all the people you think are annoying can gather to regurgitate each others' thoughts and confirm how annoying they are.
Facebook: Idek anymore.

Social Anxiety Disorder

Social Anxiety Disorder (or Social Phobia) is an anxiety disorder that describes an intense and often irrational fear of being humiliated or judged in social situations. Not to be confused with shyness, as sufferers are extremely self concious and often paranoid of others perceptions of them, their anxieties often leading them to avoid certain situations or show symptoms such as shaking, sweating, panic attacks, pounding heart, stuttering, hot/cold flashes, blushing and avoiding eye contact. Over-analysing during and after social situations, replaying events in search of negative actions or responses by others are also key behaviours.
Social Anxiety is often referred to as 'the disorder of lost opportunities', meaning people often miss out on job promotions, relationships etc because of their avoidance and general fear of rejection. A person with SA may find it difficult to make and maintain friendships and fear situations where they're not in control, often turning to alcohol or drugs as a coping method or to relieve symptoms. Although 8% of the population suffer with this condition, it is suggested that the percentage may be higher, as typically sufferers avoid seeking help and getting diagnosed, often manifesting into secondary disorders such as Avoidant Personality or Depression.
Example of a person with typically moderate Social Anxiety Disorder:

The phone rings, Amy doesn't recognise the number and lets it go to answer machine. Her stomach drops and chest tightens as she hears an unknown woman's voice, it's from the job agency inviting her for an interview in a few days time. She has to call them back asap. For hours she puts off the call, as she sits by the phone trying to calm down and clear her head. Every time she picks up the receiver her mouth dries up and her heart races, hanging up in a panic before they answer. Eventually she calls them, rehearsing what to say as she waits for them to pick up, praying for it to go to voicemail. To her relief it does. After she leaves her message, she hangs up and a wave of relief and adrenaline floods over her. But then she remembers how she stuttered a little and had to restart her sentence, and how her voice sounded higher than usual due to her nerves. She expects the person who'll listen to her message to judge her negatively, and spends the rest of the day thinking about it.
