Cryo and Hydro make a great combo, this fact just strengthens the ship even more. Not to mention they're the absolute best of friends and they even have friendship tassels they gifted each other.
Chongyun speaks highly of Xingqiu, and mentions his pranks on him as well. Xingqiu may seem like a person that shouldn't be bothered on the outside, but he actually has a 'mean' side to him as well. (According to Chongyun) And yes, he's a prankster.
Xingqiu gives Chongyun false leads on 'evil spirits' that were said to roam the area. Chongyun, who doesn't know, falls for it and comes home empty-handed and sad by the end of the day. Xingqiu treats Chongyun to his favorite food to cheer him up while keeping his false leads a secret. (He does this on purpose)
Chongyun was also seen blushing at Xingqiu in one official art of the 'Moonchase Festival', an event in the game.
In their first and official interaction in the said event in the game, Xingqiu offers Chongyun to read 'Young and Hopelessly Smitten' to him, the title of the book seems to hint us that Xingqiu may have romantic feelings for the icy exorcist.
Notice their color schemes as well, Chongyun's C/S is lightly colored while Xingqiu's is Dark. - Yin and Yang.
They almost oppose each other, and you know what they say.. "Opposites do attract."
