A German last name that sounds Chinese without the preemptive v's are w's, w's are v's instruction, and a healthy taste of laughter. Similar to the german word vasser which means water/running water in German. References also include the "Whassup?" campaign for Anheuser-Busch Budweiser beer that ran from 1999 to 2002.
