To get extremely intoxicated quickly and in a particularly aggressive manner, as if one 's life depends on getting as intoxicated as possible.

P1: "Did you hear what happened last night at the party?"
P2: "yeah, Pete got broken up with so he got violently drunk and fell off the roof"
