A sup-par insult that does not aquire full fledged insult status. Usually an online flame/diss that is retarded and makes little sense.

An insult disguised as a compliment, originating from The Simpons episode Father Knows Worst. The disguise can be very obvious or very subtle.

Example unsult: "Lenny, it takes a lot of courage to wear suspenders while you're not performing in the circus."

An insult so poorly conceived that it is almost a complement.

Unsulting

An insult focused on hurting someone that is deflected easily or has lost it’s meaning because either that person doesn’t care, is what you are describing, or the roast/insult just makes no sense and sucks.

Here are some examples:

Moron: Hahaha you are a nerd. Probably Asian
Smart kid: I am Asian?
Moron: Oh ok
Smart kid: That was unsulting
Moron: Whats that me-
Smart kid: FUCKING GOOGLE IT MORON

Example 2:

Teammate on CoD MWF: Ur gay
Gay person: And? What about it?

Salty kid: You are a... uh.... uhhhhh. Moldy stick!
Other salty kid: What does that even mean you fucktard?

a comment that is by definition an insult until upon a group share it reveals the author's social ineptitude

i.e. I eat pieces of s**t like you, daily.

The unsult: virtually anything ever said by characters Michael Scott or Dwight Shrewt of The Office. Pam or Jim, intervene to reveal the full ineptitude of the unsult.
