tryptophanatic

One who eats until they are engorged...and then proceeds to eat even more, usually resulting in a turkey coma. A glutton -- but a happy glutton nontheless.

One of those people who always insists on telling everyone that they will be tired after eating turkey because of the tryptophan.

Guy: "Hey guys, you'll all be tired after eating the turkey. You know why?"

Everyone else: "Because of the tryptophan?"

Guy: "No, because of the tryptophan!"

Everyone else: "Yeah, we know that. Everyone knows that. What a tryptophanatic..."

Guy: (to self) "I'm so goddamned smart."

Tryptophantastic

A word created to mean 'a fantastic way to fall asleep.'

It comes from combining the word "tryptophan" which is the amino acid found in most dairy products and turkey that makes you sleepy, with the word "fantastic."

"Yo dawg, that Thanksgiving dinner was tryptophantastic!!"

tryptophanic

The state of consciousness one enters after eating a load of turkey on Thankgiving. Also occurs after eating leftovers.

After chowing down their Thanksgiving dinner, nobody seemed to notice Walker Texas Ranger was on the TV due to their tryptophanic comas.


Beware of those driving around the weekend after Thanksgiving. Most are tryptophanic.

tryptophantastic

The absolute best Thanksgiving meal that one could consume and causing one to slip off into a sleepy mode and an extreme dream-like state.(Turkey Zombie)

Jake was working on Thursday so on Sunday Katie made a totally awesome and completely tryptophantastic turkey dinner which required a walk around the block to wake up a bit.
