Trendspeed

A fixed gear bicycle, or fixie.
Sue: I'm really tired of having gears and brakes on my bicycle, any suggestions for something different?

John: It sounds like you need a trendspeed.

Sue: What's that?

John: You know, the fixed geared bicycle all the bike couriers use. They are really big time right now.

Trendsploitation

Intentionally sending out tweets on twitter using keywords from the twitter trend list to capture attention. Most likely the tweet would include a link to a non-related website.
@bostondave just sent out the best trendsploitation tweet of the day with "Will Susan Boyle ever visit E3 and Tweet from her iPhone link to a URL".

This would be a tweet where "Susan Boyle", "E3", "Tweet" and "iPhone" would be currently in the trend or most tweeted phrases at the time (today is June 2nd, 2009)

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
