An over-dramatized expression of speech designed to inflict mental anguish on the listeners.
Typically "traumaunction" has a religious connotation and is used as a pejorative to refer to a particularly "hell-fire and brimstone" type of church sermon.
In reformed/protestant circles, "traumaunction" is used as a means to inflict fear of condemnation in order to "drive one back to the cross for more Jesus."
