Tauen, even though it is often referred to by Ridas and his peers, is never actually to be found. This leads to various persons disbelieving its existence. Therefore, it is of grand importance to note, that tauen is not necessarily a physical object, but rather an abstract concept located in the humanity's collective mindscape. It is up to each and every one of us to discover and accept tauen.
The word's origin is often speculated to be the norwegian word "tau", which means "rope". This theory is often regarded as an absolute truth, due to the rope's prominent usage as a suicide method, which is in perfect harmony with Ridas' philosophy.
