When people feign ignorance of something that is actually popular or widespread in order to appear more sophisticated.

A sophignorant person might say "People still watch Survivor? I thought it was cancelled." or "AOL is still around? DIALUP YOU'VE GOT MAIL LOL ROFL."

A individual that believes they are educated and understand the meaning of life, but are in fact truly idiots. They are idiots by no fault of their own due to being raised by, in and around nothing but bullshit. They are Lacking true knowledge or awareness. They are unaware of the shignorance they possess because excessive bull shit has been fed to them in large quantities disguised as information.

It’s not Bart’s fault he is so shignorant and self important. He was raised by a narcissistic father and homeschooled by his alcoholic mother that made reenact his day for her social media reels.
