skimboarding

Skimboarding is a sport similar to surfing which takes place near the shore. The skimboarder stands about twenty feet from the ocean with skimboard in hand and waits for a wave. When they see a wave they run towards it with their skimboard still in hand. Upon reaching the wet sand they drop the board and jump onto it as quickly as possible. Once on the board, the skimmer must remain as stable as possible and prepare to make the transition to the ocean. The skimmer then (hopefully) glides out into the ocean toward the oncoming wave, banks off of it, and rides it back into shore. There are many possibilities for riding the waves and this is where skimboarding gets really interesting.

skimboard 

Skimboard is a new kind ot surfboard, without fins. There're two main types of skimboards:

1) Wooden skimboards - made of wood (suprising) , in eliptical form, used for flat water, about 2-5 sm, for doing tricks as shouve-it(s) , rotations or slides.

2) Made of plastic - for riding in the oceans ans seas. Looks like Hawaii surf, but it's without fins and it's smaller. You can ride waves , closer to the sands.

skiboarder 

one who skis and snowboards,has no clear favorite, and hates both for different reasons (both only occur in noobs). Noob snowboarders think its cool to go dow a black diamond riding only on one edge while getting no actual thrill, and just pushing all the snow down and making the top of hills icy, yes thats why the top is icy, not the temperature. skiers or pizzas as i like to call them take up too much room on slopes and just gett in the way, and you cant pass them. I would just like to say that the only reason snowboarding is more popular is because its easier to learn. No snowboarder can deny that a really good skier is awesome, and visa-versa.

Skiboarder 

A confused splitboarder who wears hardboots and carries his poles in his hands while snowboarding.

If that skiboarder carried more speed into the flats, he would not of needed to have his poles out.
