Get the shobbe mug.Term used by home owners in beach towns referring to the renters in the summertime. They always come in and pack the bars, trash the streets and then leave. Best known for pissing on the sidewalk and drunkenly not being able to find their way back home.

Get the shobbe mug.I'm getting this from my Gpop and pop, but a shoebie is a South Jersey Shore expression to describe the day-trippers from Philly and NYC that would ride the train "down the shore" for the day or weekend and bring everything in a shoebox. Since the original poster used "shore" in their definition they too are probably from the South Jersey area. The trains that brought the shoebies down the shore, nor the expression shoebie, are heard much any more so its kind of cool that the expression lives on as a slightly derogatory expression for an inapproprate and unwanted tourist!
