A sub genre of heavy metal, incorporating elements of mostly southern and doom metal with a quick tempo. Sex metal is music that is easy to listen to, has catchy riffs and sexy lyrics. It promotes sex, promiscuity, alcohol and or drug use. It is rock music that is arousing and also played during sex. The term "Sex Metal" was coined by the band Until Chaos after the band noticed their music often made females in the audience ready to go. Thus the birth of Sex Metal.
