When asked by her mother why she was two hours past curfew she said "see what happened was" and three hours later her mother wished she had just acted like she didn't notice her daughters tardiness and stayed in bed.

1. A phrase used to begin an unbelievable story of stupidity, usually while one was inebriated.

Manny: Dude, where's all the leftovers from Thanksgiving?

AJ: See, what ha-happened was, (pause) I finished that bottle of rum around midnight. Then I started to play Halo and got the munchies and it was all that we had to eat. I think the cat ate most of it though. Sorry, man.

Manny: You fatass.
