retrologic
retroactive (and often selective) local argument made to justify actions, thoughts, beliefs, or choices made in the past or before the retroactive justification was formed. it describes creating a reason, justification, or any other device of human reason and/or argumentation after the said actions, thoughts, beliefs, or choices were made. Do 'it' now and invent a why later.
Often people's answers to hard questions for their dubious, questionable, or morally debatable actions during stressful, precarious, tumultuous, turbulent, or uncertain times are retrological. They construct reasoning and argue for and from it even if that why was completely different true why (if any) from the subject-matter requiring the reason. That's retrologic.
