Relationship Cycle

The pattern of a couple getting together, deciding to break up, hating each other with a vengeance for some time, and getting back together again, starting the cycle anew.

Process can repeat indefinitely.

Usually annoys the hell out of those acquainted with the couple in some way.
THE RELATIONSHIP CYCLE

John: I love you...
Jane: I love you too. :) . Being together with you is the greatest feeling in the world.

Jane: No, you can't hang out with your friends in Vegas this weekend. I want you here.
John: You've become such a demanding bitch. That's it. I'm breaking up with you and going to Vegas! Maybe I'll find someone better there!
Jane: Well, fuck you then, asshole! I never want to see you again!

Jane: That son of a bitch dumped me. It's really over this time.
Ashley: Are you sure? You always take him back, Jane.
Jane: No, this time for real.

3 WEEKS LATER:
John: Baby, I miss us. Our relationship together was the greatest time of my life. I'm sorry for what I said. Take me back. I can't be without you.
Jane: I've missed you too. Come on, I want to make it up to you...
"THIS STAGE OFTEN LEADS TO MAKE UP SEX"

John: That was amazing Jane. I love you..
Jane: I love you too. :) . Being together with you is the greatest feeling in the world.

AND IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON...

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)

church hurt

church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
