A dystopian society that emerged in 2020, in which mankind was relegated to shelter in place unless partaking in government-deemed essential activities.

The facade of freedom in America was so much better than this Quarantopia, in which we now live.

Wearing a bedsheet to check your mailbox because you haven’t done any laundry in weeks due to laziness after being confined inside during a pandemic.

My neighbor caught me checking my mailbox for a stimulus check wearing a bedsheet around my waist. I told her to leave me and my Quarantoga alone.

Fear of being forced to be quarantined due to a global pandemic.

Fear of extended general lock-down that affect otherwise (physically) healthy people.

I have quarantophobia. I hope the government does not issue another pandemic related lockdown this fall!

Mark is a quarantophile; the recluse that he is, it gives him yet another reason to pack up, leave the city, and go live in his isolated cabin up state.
