A parotta, porotta or barotta is a layered flatbread made from maida flour, popular in Southern India. It is a common street food in southern India, especially in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the neighboring country of Sri Lanka.
The round shaped food item which was popularised through highway eatery shops in South India. Making of a porotta requires great skill and is a subject worthy of an Oscar film
