presequence 

To create a mix of songs that are beat-matched using software and then saved before playing to an audience as opposed to a DJ mixed set where a DJ mixes the song on the fly while the crowd is (hopefully) dancing.

Mixing on the fly requires mad skills but presequencing allows the Presequencer to nail every beat, use custom twisted tracks and introductions, and pre-place many more effects than a DJ can on stage.
That DJ isn't really mixing on the fly. He's playing a presequenced set he made at home and now he's just making himself look busy.
