OOD refers to 'One Of Dem' as in one of the Indians. Indians are
people from the Punjab region who go by names such as Gurpreet, Shivaji
Joy, Naresh, Baldeep and so forth.
Oftentimes, especially when directed to a call centre you many find the OODs referring to themselves with more prominent western names such as Andrew, John or Alan. This can cause much confusion and during this time it is recommended to carry out the speech
test. Asking the western named OOD to pronounce words such as zero, zip, yellow, radar and the letter A can
help identify a real OOD. They would pronounce the above listed words as jero, jip, ello, radaaaaar and
Yay. If this pronunciation
test fails the second method will be to senses method identify the OOD. Visually you may see a red dot on their forehead or yellow/white lines. There may also be a strong smell of
curry or similar.
