Mom-motion is short for "mom emotions", which are short, random, possibly hormonal, outbreaks of emotion, typically associated with inexplicable crying and emotional outbursts after giving birth to a child.
After getting home from giving birth at the hospital, my wife started randomly crying and saying "I can't believe I pushed him out" completely out of nowhere. I think she's having mom-motions.
