The sum total of all biochemical reactions that occur in a person's body. Digestion of food is just one aspect of metabolism.
Divided into catabolism, where organic molecules are oxidised and degreaded to prodice energy, and anabolism, where small organic molecules are combined to form larger ones at a cost of energy.
"I don't know how she does it, but Laura eats like a pig and drinks like a fish yet she still has that smoking hot body - she's really metaboliscious..."
The metabolic ability of a female (or raging tail gunner) to process nature's yoghurt i.e. a teaspoon of sperm cider
Beatrice: 'Jessica, darling you look absolutely divine- you must tell me your diet secret'
Jessica: 'Well Beatrice, I guess I was just thankfully born with a stupendous metabojism as I manage to stay wafer-thin despite smoking more Poles than Hitler did in all of Word War II'
MENTABOLISM
When the mind affects the body, or the body affects the mind. How external events effect the internal mind and internal events affect the external body.
Examples:
A blush, sexual arousal, physical pain, hypnosis.
"The sight of her raised my mentabolism!"
"Self-hypnotic mentabolism, removed the pain."
"Mentabolism, mind over matter, gave me the bodily control to win the game."
"Mentabolism, Pavlovian at work"
