A term from the Farsi language popular among Persians which is used to describe a person or a group of people that engage in violent activities or are just up to no good. You can spot a group of lots from their loud, aggressive, and mischievous behavior.

Example:

Son: "Mom can I hang out with Jon"?
Mom: "No Son, Jon is a laht. He will be a bad influence on you"
