Medieval Jongleurs: The Jongleurs can be described as a court attendant or other people such as a traveler who, for hire, recited or sang verses and performed other acts for the entertainment of the audience including that of a conjuror or a juggler. Jongleur is the French word for a juggler. Often the Jongleurs role was to assist the Troubadours or Minstrels. The Jongleurs were often collaborators or assistants of Medieval Troubadours or Minstrels. Jongleurs gained a reputation of itinerant entertainers of Medieval France and in Norman England where many were deemed to be vagabonds and untrustworthy. Eventually, this reputation caused Jongleurs to be outlawed.
The Jongleurs put on a great show, meanwhile, their accomplices mingled with the audience to pick pockets and engage in other grifting.

Jongler Vandam

A slick, charismatic move that a guy pulls when he’s trying to charm a potential female partner. When a man "does the Jongler Vandam," he channels a suave, mysterious, and almost criminal allure—like a smooth-talking enigma with undeniable finesse. It’s a combination of confidence, sly wit, and effortless style that leaves the target captivated. The move isn't just about what he says, but how he says it, with that signature sly grin and the smoothest of vibes.

To "Jongler Vandam" is to masterfully balance flirtation and mystery, like velvet tricks down a neon-lit street. It’s the secret weapon of a guy who knows how to walk the line between gentleman and rogue, making the girl feel like she’s the star of his own nocturnal ballet.
*Person 1:* “Yo, you managed to link up with shorty last night?”

*Person 2:* “Yeah man, she was playin’ hard to get at first, but then I hit her with that Jongler Vandam.”

*Person 1:* “Damn, for real? So you flipped the charm switch, huh?”

*Person 2:* “You know it. Peaches were droppin’ like crazy once I did the Vandam.”

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
