IEEE

Stands for the "Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers" (pronounced "eye-triple-ee"). It's a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing electronic technology. They set standards for electronic equipment in the form of IEEE #'s. For example, the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN standards specify standards for Ethernet and wireless devices (such as range, frequency, stuff like that).

Did you hear about the new IEEE standard?/ You mean the IEEE 802.12? We now finally have a standard for wireless devices and services.

iGeneration

A subgeneration of Generation Y kids born from 1985 to 1990 with Baby Buster parents. The term is an ironic neogolism based off of the product known as iPod popularized by a song from the the artist known as MC Lars. Memebers of this generation are often associated with scene quailities and subcultures like emo, hipster, indie, club kids, electroclash etc.

Bisexuality is currently popular/chic amongst girls in this age group and is slowly progressing towards boys with the new 2005 trend known as emo boys kissing.

iGeneration was featured in a British Time Magazine article.

When two iPhone users get into a conversation about the apps and features of their iPhones. This can sometimes lead to one-upping each other on who has the cooler app. Individuals iGeeking often become oblivious to the boredom of other observers.

Overheard from two people iGeeking:

iGeeker1: That is so cool you have an iPhone too! Have you seen the belching app?

iGeeker2: No, that's cool - but have you seen the farting app? I can even remote send to other phones!
