Darnella Frazier 

The young woman whose eyewitness video of the George Floyd killing by former police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, became a crucial artifact of American history. She was awarded an honorary Pulitzer Prize on June 11, 2021.

Only 17 at the time, Darnella Frazier is to the Floyd killing what Abraham Zapruder was to the assassination of John F. Kennedy, an accidental bystander with a camera, a vital witness to an historic moment. Ms. Frazier's video of the arrest, which recorded Floyd's plea - I can't breathe - as Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than 9 minutes, sparked protests across the country. A witness at Chauvin's murder trial, Ms. Frazier expressed regret for not physically confronting Mr. Chauvin. “It’s been nights I stayed up apologizing and apologizing to George Floyd for not doing more and not physically interacting and not saving his life,” Ms. Frazier said.

Darnella Frazier, who was 17 when she recorded George Floyd's murder in Minneapolis last year, was awarded a special citation by the Pulitzer Board. Her video played a major role in igniting a global protest movement against police violence, and was used as evidence in the trial of Floyd's killer.

Pulitzer officials who give out the prestigious prize in journalism and the arts said Frazier's recording highlighted "the crucial role of citizens in journalists' quests for truth and justice."

A girl who has gone through been through hell and back, yet is still the most wonderful person in the world. She cares for everyone and does her best to help anyone who need it. She is one of those people who only sees the good in you and leaves you with a smile on her face. She knows how to make you happy when your sad. And is the only person who can make you laugh when your crying. She is your best friend and sister. She never leaves your side and always picks you up when you fall. You don't know what to do with out her and can't imagine a world with out her.

one of the best people you'll ever meet. she seems awkward and a little crazy at first but when you get to know her she has a bomb ass personality and is a great friend. daniella is stunningly gorgeous. this italian girl is literally one of the most beautiful girls in the world. she accepts almost everyone's friendship, but you have to be really special to get with her. don't piss off a daniella. if you mean something to her then she'll forgive you, but won't forget. if you piss off one of her friends, she'll never like you. that's another great thing about her. she's insanely loyal and will fight for you any time. you would expect her to be a classic mean popular girl, but she's not. she's loved by everyone, but she isn't vain and doesn't treat anyone badly. all i can even say is damn. anyone would be lucky to have daniella.
