Lump Check

This is a Government Check for basically doing nothing. It could be a State or Federal Check. Examples of State Checks are Unemployment, Welfare, and other State Programs. Federal Examples are the Big Enchilada of them all: S.S.I. & S.S.D.I. The Child Tax Credit Wheez that Hyperinflation Joe had pumpin' was another one. Landlords with tenants on Section 8 are also getting Lump Checks.

To wear your heart on your cheek is the opposite of wearing your heart on your sleeve.

A person who wears their heart on their cheek keeps their true emotions hidden, usually to keep themselves from getting hurt and/ or to hurt others.
