The practice of receiving an instant message and immediatly typing 'brb' to avoid talking to someone.

Dude, Joe is totally brb'ing me... every time i catch him online when he isn't away he leaves right after.

The state in which someone will be right back. Originally used on Internet chatrooms along with the acronym brb.

Blue: brb
Green: Where's blue?
Yellow: He's brbing.
