bongunism

Bongunism is the political ideology which promotes the equalisation of society by mass-bakeage. The belief originated in the ancient land of Tokeopia, with Karl Sparx and N. Joe's social schematics. In a series of tests, the pair concluded that smoking loads of dope was indeed lots of fun, and believed that an entire society could be based around the act. Bongunism was picked up by revolutionaries who formed the Bongunist Party, the leading party in the Union of Stonerland and Tokeopia.

Bongunist Party

The Bongunist Party is the international political party which supports the ideology of Bongunism. They are also the official ruling party in the Union of Stonerland and Tokeopia. The Bongunist Party believes that all classes should unite in tokeing the Holy Herb.

Boganism

The art of removing your Holden badge to replace it with a Chevrolet badge in an attempt to increase power, looks, value to your stock standard commodore. Most commonly found on the SS model but also found on the v6 models making ones ecotec double in horsepower and size. The owners of these cars are usually seen hanging around centrelink offices trying to pick up single mums sporting either a southern cross tattoo or a mullet.

Ironic boganism

-adjective

1. The partaking of overt acts of boganism by middle and upper-class Australians.

2. An Australian persons love of irony taken to an extreme and reflected in certain lifestyle choices in a somewhat conflicting manner, most usually to humorous effect.

ie.
a) An urban corporate executive (Andrew) discussing his car, "My love of the moment is a 1969 modded-up Holden Ute, Beryl-She is awesome!!!"

b) "Bogan" and "Kath and Kim" parties that take place in post-codes such as "3142"

c) The Working Dog's production of (The Australian version) of "Kath and Kim" was a piss-take and celebration of Boganism, but most Working Dog production members and writers would not be classifiable "bogans". Hence, they created a show with some foundations in ironic boganism.
