in bocca al lupo

Literally it means "In the wolf's mouth" in Italian language, but it is an expression used to say "Good luck" to someone who is about to face any kind of test/challenges/problems. The common response is "Croak the wolf" (Crepi il lupo!).

It was originally used by hunters as a way to ward off evil by wishing the exact opposite of luck (indeed "to be in the wolf's mouth" means "to be at the mercy of the wolf") and still today there is a bit of superstition in it (you avert a bad event just by wishing it...).

Example 1:
A: "I have the math test tomorrow"
B: "Oh really? Good luck then..."
A: "You don't say so, for it's bad luck. It's "In bocca al lupo"!"
B: "Ok, sorry... In bocca al lupo!"
A: "Crepi il lupo!"

Example 2 (from "Gotham" S01E01, Don Falcone is putting Jim Gordon on a hard decision: do what he says or go against him):
Jim Gordon: "You want me to keep quiet about all this?"
Don Falcone: "Gotham is on a knife edge. What do you suppose bringing down City Hall and the police force will do, even if you could? Would it make things better? IN BOCCA AL LUPO"

Beccaboo

A Beccaboo is a beautiful creature native to California and has been spotted in some parts of Illinois.

Beccaboo are mostly hairless critters but they do have hair on their heads and are often mistaken for a beautiful woman.

Beccaboo's can make great house pet's once tamed however a wild Beccaboo is extremely dangerous and should not be handled or even approached by anyone that has not had the proper training.

I have a trained Beccaboo at home she is a really sweet pet.

baccano!

Baccano! is a fantastic anime series based off of a light novel by Ryohgo Narita. The name of the series is the italian word for "ruckus", and it sure lives up to this name. The show has no main character, instead following the perspective of multiple characters. Sometimes, you'll be watching the hilariously fucked-up killer Ladd Russo, or you could be following Szilard Quates, an alchemist hellbent on learning the secret to becoming immortal, even though he is immortal himself. (Not a spoiler, established early on). Overall, Baccano! is a fantastic series that should be watched by all. Very gory, but amazing. Also, it's dub is on par with Cowboy Bebop, with the english VA perfectly matching the personalities and accents of characters. Go watching it.
