The Big Apple

A term only used by tourists and new people moving into NYC that think they are cool when in reality, they are not and try to use the term to show their non-existent coolness. They quickly realize that real New Yorkers don't say this term when one gives them a dirty look and that NYC consists of 5 boroughs and not just Manhattan.

Adriana: You're from NYC??
Sue: Yeah, I'm from the Big Apple! Can't you tell?
Adriana: *Spits in her face* Don't fucking lie to me.
