The end result is that you are playing the Game of Life very badly and not moving forward to be greater later, but instead standing still while others move past you, or actually exhibiting behaviors and making choices that make you lose ground.

After they broke up, Sheila was doing well - went back o school, bot a better job and was planning to buy a house. But when Malik came begging she let him back into her life and now she has no education, got evicted, and he spent the money she'd saved on some wild scheme to "start a business."
