Artvertising is a form of advertising and communication that typically attempts to persuade
potential customers with artistic backgrounds to purchase or to consume more of a particular brand of
product or service. Whereas modern advertising developed with the rise of mass production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, ARTvertising only developed in 1980s through the present utilizing art as primary form of advertising in attempts to appeal to a younger, more hip
crowd.
Many
new condo building developers are utilizing street art for
selling their building's relevance to passers by, hence, ARTvertising
may bring a younger crowd of buyers.
