1. An indie chiptune punk band from New York that currently consists of Peter Berkman, James DeVito, Ary Warnaar and Luke Silas, its former members being Spencer Casey, Charlie Hankin and George Brower. To create their music, the band uses both traditional instruments, such as electric guitars, bass guitars and a drum kit, and synthesisers, albeit unorthodox ones; namely a hacked NES and Game Boy. As of 2010, Anamanaguchi have released two LPs, - Dawn Metropolis and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game: Original Video Game Soundtrack - one EP, - Power Supply - and four singles - Airbrushed, My Skateboard Will Go On, Aurora (Meet Me In The Stars), and a remix of Airbrushed.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
