AIntellectual

AIntellectual: a term for a non-biological intelligent being, if/when that exists.

source: This term is to honor the integrity of what it means to fill the gap left by AI and AGI, which do not require actual intellectual ability. Here, being AIntellectual requires the ability to understand, adapt to, and solve a new problem independently. This term was coined by Marzstar and evolved since her 1999 research with UCSC Professor David Cope on Experiments in Musical Intelligence (EMI) who published many books on the subject including The Algorithmic Composer featuring Common Lisp code examples that Marzstar is a contributor.
"An AIntellectual does not just imitate patterns, it can encounter something new and understand and adapt in a meaningful way, independently.”

“The difference is simple: AI performs, but an AIntellectual can respond to something unfamiliar and independently adapt to solve a problem, intelligently. It’s not just called intelligent, an AIntellectual is intelligent, whether or not it knows or would tell you if it did, is a different topic."
