A non-black person who is fascinated with and drawn to black culture. This can be either in conjunction with "high culture" such as martin luther king and black history month, or popular culture such as gangsta rap and chris rock, but rarely both.

You know that an afrophile like Yitzchok would be a huge Snoop Dogg fan.

Julio is such an afrophile that he didn't think it was appropriate to listen to Reggaton on MLK day, out of reverence.

arctophile

A person who collects and enjoys teddy bears. Unlike "plushophile", this word almost NEVER implies a sexual fetish--only a sentimental interest.

Frannie is a serious arctophile if I ever met one: Not only did she have wall-to-wall shelves built for her teddy bear collection, but she also bought a database program just to catalog each bear by age and manufacturer.
