a dollar a joint

Also known as adaj. A marijuana legalization project created by proffesional stoner bakednick. Its a promising idea that involves everyone donating $1 or more to a selected charity (not yet announced). On the dollar everyone will write adaj.us so people will know what website to visit and also so the charities will know who it is donating and what we stand for. It sounds doubting but will raise much publicity that can't be ignored. For more information or to get involved please visit adaj.us.
Stoner 1: hey man I really want weed to be legalized man

Stoner 2: man haven't you heard of like a dollar a joint man? Just visit adaj.us and get involved man

a dollar o'day

Da modest amount dat you hope dat yer new frecklefaced-redhead girlfriend will cost you. (Note: I am totally pro-equality, and so there is no gender-bias intended here; it's just that it's a long-practiced tradition that the guy picks up the tab for any dating-related expenses that the girl incurs, especially if "HE had asked HER" --- i.e., the guy had been the one who had approached the girl for the date --- and so the idea would be that SHE was doing HIM a favor by being his partner, and therefore she should not have to burden her own budget during said outing.
What with modern sky-high prices even for simple foods and entertainment, expecting a cute Irish chick to be content with just "a dollar o'day" in dating costs might be a bit unrealistic; a better thing to do would be to discuss beforehand what said hot Celtic-origined damsel most enjoys for meals and/or recreation, and then see if said preferences can be palatably met in a fairly-economical fashion, such as walking/biking around to various places instead of driving, having a picnic of supermarket-fare instead of eating out, renting a video instead of going to a theater, visiting hiking-trails and scenic overlooks instead of shelling out for pricey park-entry fees, etc..

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
