A celebration of all things Italian. This time is very similar to il carnivale. Il carnivale is a time that is dedicated to parades, music, entertainment, revelry and masquerade balls. Wopma is the Americanized version of il carnivale. During this time, Italians gather, party, and enjoy life.

examples of the wopma celebration: Italian food, good hair, clothing, gold chains, wine, Sinatra, Stallone, etc...
