Typically characterized by elaborate histrionics bordering on complete absurdity. An individual who has a noted tendency to perform a wedemeyer on a regular basis is often referred to as an ass clown.

2. Can also be used to describe the act of fabricating the symptoms of a completely nonexistent medical condition for the same purposes.
