thoracoplasty
Thoracoplasty is a procedure in which ribs are removed from the chest area due to a predominant hump on the chest/back area. Usually after the procedure the hump is reduced quite significantly, all according on how predominant it was before hand. This procedure is seen as cosmetic surgery as it has more to do with the way the person looks and feels about themselves rather than it needed to be corrected. The rib hump on the back doesn't cause any problems other than maybe slight un-comfort. This procedure isn't compulsory and isn't needed, therefore is seen as a cosmetic procedure.
Daughter: Mum, I hate this hump on my back! I want to get rid of it.. once and for all!

Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it.
