The Leader

One who leads others, is often heard saying 'I am the leader.'

Words you can keep

The Leader

A name given to the messiah of the band geeks, a horde composed mostly of freshmen. Usually a senior band member who held an important position however never understood how to act outside the BAND ROOM. Less this be his undoing and eventual fall from grace!
Dude, we can’t take Pete to lunch. He’s has to watch over his flock in the band room.

I know man he's their leader!

The leader effect

A political and psychological phenomenon where people hate a leader, vote or fight to remove them, then later start wishing they were back in charge — usually after experiencing disappointment with their replacement.

The cycle goes like this:

1. “This leader is awful!”

2. “Let’s get someone better.”

3. “Wait, this is worse.”

4. “Maybe the old guy wasn’t so bad after all…”

5. “We need him back!”

This happens with dictators, presidents, prime ministers — anyone in charge. The Leader Effect is fueled by nostalgia, frustration, instability, and unrealistic expectations.
"Some Iraqis missing Saddam is a clear case of The Leader Effect."

"Voters switching from Trump to Biden, then wanting Trump back shows The Leader Effect."

"After Gaddafi’s fall, Libya went into chaos — The Leader Effect appeared again."

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
