From Proto-Germanic *swalaz, akin to German schwül (“‘sultry’”), Ancient Greek σέλας (sélas), “‘luminous’”. It is basically an old word for "cool", as it is almost unused.
Snald
A portmanteau of the two words "sneed" and "mald'. Originating from the Discord servers 'Snackbox' and 'Seadex', the creator of the word is most commonly considered to be the user RainingTerror. The word is commonly used to describe someone in the act of both sneeding and malding, or as a derogatory term for someone who you just don't like.

This idiomatic expression can describe any kind of movement, but is especially linked to running. A scalded dog would be moving as quickly as it was capable of doing, and it would be motivated by pain and fear - that combination makes for some serious speed.
