Soupmates 

In the My Hero Academia SMASH manga introduction page for kirishima it says "Katsuki likes to pretend to be pissed off about their friendship, because he can't admit that kirishima is chicken soup for his soul". This has let to kiribakus calling them soupmates.

Friend Soulmate 

Like a best friend, but different. A friendship born out of the simple fact that it was meant to be. Just as we all have a select number of romantic soulmates, we also have a few friend soulmates walking around waiting for our lives to intersect. They will arrange secret meetings with you, but not in a "tea time" way. In an "anything fucking goes in our world cause we're bout that life" kind of way. You can have unlimited besties if you choose to live that way, but friend soulmates? Limited quantity. Treat that with respect. And bring Velvet Hot Chocolate as a pick me up to make sure this person knows you love them.

A term used to describe an intense friendship between two people of the same gender. Similar to "best friends", but more intense. These people complete each other, though they are not involved in a romantic, homosexual relationship. If one of them were of the preferential gender for a sexual connection, they would totally get married.
