1- reading material read only in the bathroom that generally stays in the bathroom
2- garbage literature that you would only read if you were trapped in the bathroom with it

1- I keep my collection of "wired" magazines under my sink as shiturature
2- twilight is such shiturature.

shitterature

Literature that one would take to the shitter, hence the term. Sunday funnies, album notes, and yearbooks are all good examples because they tend to distract from the dank smell of your feces. Shitterature usually does not include novels or any other piece of literature that requires concentration.

I didn't bring any shitterature with me so I was trapped reading the shampoo bottles' ingredients.

A piece of writing so bad, that calling it literature is an insult to other writers in the world. Usually found in college workshops and are written about things the author obviously knows nothing about. Bad grammar and spelling is a must. Mary Sues/Gary Stus are also welcome.
