Selfmisactory effect

A situation in which your own natures, actions, or perceptions of/in a subject (such as things you do while driving) are being discussed in a negative way without the speakers (the people talking about it) knowing that it applies to you, creating an extremely awkward scenario where you didn't know that what you did is something your friends or co-workers, or whoever is discussing the subject, despise.
When we were talking about annoying drivers, it was hard not to laugh at Dan who had a shocked face like he was experiencing the selfmisactory effect.
