A term used to describe those players who aren't quite cut from the team but don't get to dress for games or ride the bench most of the season although they are expected to and still do show up to practice in hopes of getting game time.

#1: Hey man did you make the lacrosse team this year?

#2: I didn't get cut but I am getting Rudy'd, I haven't stepped on the field all season.
